Summer Vacation: Museum & Aloft

We both enjoyed our 5 year anniversary trip soooo much! It was a much needed and savored break from school and work. I'm am beyond grateful to God that we were able to spend that time together ~ with my bestest friend ~ making many sweet memories. It is amazing how my love for Tony grows more and more with each passing day!! :)

Monday afternoon we toured the NC Museum of Life and Science. There was plenty to do, learn, and see -- and we had lots of fun doing, learning, and seeing all the way 'til closing time. I think one of my favorite spots was the butterfly garden filled with exotic plants and pretty butterflies.

That evening we strolled down Franklin Street and enjoyed an amazing dinner at the Italian Cafe'. Everything we ordered was great! Tenderloin pie, salad, bread, wine, coffee, chocolate chess pie and homemade cookies and cream ice cream. Just thinking about it makes me want to return real soon! We very much enjoyed our stay at the brand new Aloft hotel. We hung out in the lounge for a while, played a couple rounds of othello, and did much relaxing in our lovely room. :)
