Rainbow and shed ~~

This past weekend we were blessed with a visit from Marcus - a dear brother in Christ from Virginia. He arrived Friday afternoon, after taking a slight detour through some country roads. ;) We ate dinner and started watching "The Late Great Planet Church". That evening we made our way to the club scene in downtown Greenville to preach the everlasting gospel. Marcus and Tony open air preached, but for the most part we talked with people one-to-one. We had many conversations that night. Almost all of them professed to be Christians. One guys exact words - "I'm a f****n Christian." He said that more than once, along with, "My dad's a pastor." :( Marcus tried to reason with him for a while, then I started to talk to him. Toward the end he began to open up. He said he knows that he is not bearing Christian fruit. May God do a mighty work in his heart. Fertile ground for sure. At 2am the street was all-of-a-sudden flooded with college students ~ because that's when the bars stop serving alcohol. We stayed out there for another hour or so and then made our way back home (after stopping by Krispy Kreme).
Saturday afternoon we went to our nieces 6th birthday party. I crocheted her a kitty cat, which I have no pictures of because I literally finished it at the last second [as we parked our car at the party]. :) It was a busy busy week! She loved it! Oh, and see the cake that Tony's mom made... it's beautiful!

From there we went to the house for a little bit so Tony could finish some school work. Then we ran a few errands in Goldsboro, picked up James and made our way to Raleigh Downtown Live. There were many hecklers, which isn't out of the ordinary at this event.

Marcus headed back to Virginia after church on Sunday. Then Tony & I went on a little shopping date! :) Togetherness time!! Then home to take a test and make a strawberry cake for my mommy's birthday! :) My dad fixed dinner ~ chicken parmsean with pasta, salad, and garlic bread. YUM!!! We all gathered around the table, chatted, sang happy birthday... Joey & Chrissie got mom an icecream maker attachment for her kitchenaid. {Great gift!} Brittany & I look forward to having a girls night out with her one day next week! :)

And one of my life-long friends is getting married on Saturday! I'm so excited ... but not as excited as they are, I'm sure. :) Scott & Kelley ~

I have known Scott for a looong time - the eldest child of the beloved Appleton family. There we are pictured at our wedding nearly four years ago. :) I love this family a lot and look forward to seeing all of them this weekend!
