Lots of Water

  • A seven hour boat ride on the Neuse River
  • Swimming at Tony's parents house
  • Four hours of fishing from Johnny Mercer's Pier at Wrightsville Beach
  • Getting drenched from the rain at the beach
  • And a water spout

  • Saturday morning we set our little boat in at the Seven Springs
bridge went upstream a few miles. Then we slowly drifted back
down to our starting point. We had so much fun - just us on the
river, surrounded by God's beautiful creation! It was nice!

This was our handy-dandy anchor that we
put together real quick. Some string & a brick. :)

Tony preparing a path for me to walk on. :)

    Looks like a secret garden.

    A baby bass.

Sunday, we went with my parents to the beach.
It was overcast most of the day, but the guys
were able to get in about 4 hours of pier fishing
before it started to pour rain! We were all soaked!!

Dad caught several sets of these baby spots.

    Seaweed. :)

    One guy caught this barracuda.

Storm clouds rolling in & a water spout forming.

    This caused lots of excitement!!
You can watch the video footage
below to see the spout in action.

It looks like you guys had a wonderful adventure on the river! You took some great pics too!

That water spout would have totally freaked me out! I can't believe you were as calm as you were. Did you feel threatened? I figured you finally turned the camera off and ran for the hills! :)

Nobody around us really seemed too worried about it. We were just all standing their watching it in awe. Haha. I did get a little more video footage, but for some reason it was taking forever to upload it to blogger. Boo hoo. It eventually disipated, then the clouds dropped a LOT of rain!!
