It's just the beginning ...

Here is the start of our little garden. After eating some

homemade biscuits and gravy, my sweet husband went to

work on building our garden box. Of course I stood close by

to watch and help. ;) Monday night we placed the order for

some of our seeds and are looking forward to getting those

planted in little pots very shortly. Grow garden, grow!!

This is my first completed sewing projectusing a pattern -
a froggy apron. This fabric was originally purchased
by Tony's mom over twenty years ago. She was going
to turn it into little overalls for Tony, but never
got around to it. So the fabric was neatly folded
and safely stored for twenty-plus years.
The frogs that are centered on the pockets remind her
of little Tony - he was such a happy child and liked
being silly. Always had a big smile on his face. :)
Thats my hubby!! And I am so grateful to God for him!!

A Tin

Tony's mom gave me a few things yesterday -

items that belonged to Tony's Grandma Smith. :)

I have thoroughly been enjoying my sewing lessons
with Tony's mom. Not only am I learning how to sew -
but I also get to hear all kinds of cute stories about Tony. ;)

Domesticity

Last night, Tony took a break from his schoolwork to share a bowl of buttery popcorn with me. :) We sat there enjoying each others company and listening to a message by Pastor John Otis. Lovely time of togetherness. Then it was back to schoolwork. I practiced my sewing skills by making another pillowcase; not perfect, but I can see improvement. Yay! I think my next lesson will be tomorrow. Maybe one day I'll be able to sew some of my own clothes. That would be nice because I tend to be picky and have such a hard time finding clothes that I like. I guess that is my goal. I love learning about all these domestic skills. Along those lines, we are wanting to start a little garden this year - it would be our first. So, I've spent most of the morning researching. I've come across some really neat concepts and look forward to sharing all my research with Tony!! The options seem endless, but I trust that God will guide us and turn my "brown" thumb "GREEN." ;)

Seventy Three Months
